School credit is available if allowed by the university of the applicant. The unpaid internship is designed around teaching you the fundamentals of online marketing and web design. • An interest in learning how to use typography and grids
• Passion about design in general with a great understanding of color palettes, gradients, and flat
• An interest in learning to use Photoshop and Illustrator (experience preferred)
• An interest in learning how to present material (experience preferred)
• An interest in learning about online tools such as basecamp, quickbooks, and google docs (experience preferred)
• An interest in designing for the web, specifically e-commerce websites (experience preferred)
• An interest in learning HTML and CSS (experience preferred)
• The motivation to work as a team player but also independently on projects with minimal supervision
• Qualities such as dependability, reliability, initiative, a positive attitude toward the job
• Excellent written english
• The ability to stay highly organized with great attention to detail and be deadline oriented
• The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
• Reliable transportation
• Been accepted into an accredited college or university and currently be receiving credit
• Availability to work a minimum of 16 hours per week onsite

YOUR DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Assisting in the creation of wireframes and website mockups based on creative briefs and other materials
• Attending client meetings and working with our Account Managers to translate visions into reality.
• Creating images optimized for the web using Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks
• Incorporating custom fonts on the web utilizing tools like typekit, sift, cufon, etc…
• Assisting in project completion according to schedule
• Effectively applying our methodology and following project standards
• Collaborating with the SEO team, developers, and other stakeholders to establish the vision of the project and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs
• Assisting in conceptualizing and designing internal marketing materials (for print and the company website)
• Searching daily to expand your knowledge and resources and sharing that with the team
• Presenting organized files such as Photoshop layered/folder files
