Jackie and Eddie’s
Jackie and Eddie’s is a baked goods business. They produce homemade ginger cookies, brownies, and English toffee. Their domain’s overall feel can be wrapped up in a single word – homey. Wait – vintage. Wait – adorable. Really, they just sell baked goods. But after perusing the pages you feel like family, as though these bakers would simply invite you into their kitchen at any time of the day. They even had us, Coalition Technologies, build an entire page dedicated to their history, why they love what they do, and ultimately why they are good at what they do. Upon viewing the home page, Coalition introduces an easily navigatable site with subtle tones, a picture of beloved “Grandmother”, and Victorian wallpaper for a traditional pull. But at the bottom of the page, things are brought back to a more modern style with a navy wall strip and bold, white font. Some web features include online shopping, gift certificates, and establishing/maintaining accounts. There are not a lot of flashy details and advanced features on jackieandeddies.com. But that is definitely part of the charm. Jackie and Eddie’s vintage packaging design along with Coalition’s basic – yet thoughtful – layout assures you that they are truly “On a Mission from Grandmother”.
