Overview
Giant Sports Cards, a fast-growing sports card retailer, supplies the newest releases with white-glove packaging to both B2C and wholesale markets using an omnichannel strategy. For years, football and basketball cards have been the company’s primary revenue drivers. With the United States hosting the World Cup, the client identified an opportunity to expand its soccer card offerings, but lacked a clear strategy. The client also wanted to shift more sales to the website to improve margins.
The company partnered with us to strengthen organic visibility, grow direct-to-consumer sales and conversions, and reduce reliance on lower-margin wholesale revenue. See how our SEO, AI-SEO, and paid media services helped grow online revenue and achieve a 60.62x ROAS on Facebook ads and an 87.26x ROAS on Google Ads.
Problem
Giant Sports Cards was growing quickly, but their marketing wasn’t keeping pace. A big portion of revenue still came through wholesale and distributors instead of the website, which meant slimmer profits and less control over how sales happened. At the same time, the site had thousands of products, nonstop new releases, and demand that rose and fell with the sports season. The client noted that as much as 40% of inventory could be difficult to move due to low buyer interest.
On the SEO side, earlier work focused on the wrong search terms, didn’t scale well as the catalog grew, and didn’t bring in the kinds of organic sales they needed for sealed cases, boxes, and pre-sale items. Paid ads were running, but it wasn’t clear what was driving results or what needed to change. And with limited time internally, it was hard to keep email marketing and referral efforts consistent.
Solution
Search Engine Optimization
A part of our SEO strategy focused on optimizing content so that collectors and resellers who were already searching for football and basketball cases and boxes could find Giant Sports Cards easily. At the same time, we made sure the site was set up to support future product launches without needing to rebuild pages every time something new dropped. That meant spending time on category, product, and pre-sale pages so they lined up with how people actually search.
We went through the site and cleaned up page issues. Product details were tightened up, internal links were organized, broken links were fixed, and copy was rewritten so it made sense to shoppers first and search engines second. We also added and improved schema to help products show up more clearly in search results.
We simplified the wholesale inquiry form so it was easier to understand and use. Each quarter, our design team refreshed the homepage banner to highlight new releases the client wanted to push. We also kept the Presales page up to date by rotating in upcoming products and removing pages for items that were no longer coming back, while making sure their existing SEO value was preserved.

We optimized the Google Business Profile to strengthen trust for branded and local searches. Accurate business details, helpful FAQs, and basic engagement signals gave buyers reassurance that they were dealing with a legitimate seller who could be trusted with high-value orders. This was especially important for new releases and higher-priced items.
Our outreach team focused on getting the brand mentioned and linked on relevant, well-known publications and communities, sports card world sites. Over time, this helped more collectors to find the brand and improve the site’s authority.
AI SEO
As more shoppers started using AI tools to research where to buy, we updated the content. We focused on answering the questions customers were already asking, and removing any guesswork around products, policies, and shipping.
We also implemented Shopify’s Knowledge Base app so policies, product info, and FAQs are easily accessible. Customers could find answers quickly, and AI-driven platforms were more likely to pull the right details. Keeping everything centralized also made it easier to spot and fix incorrect AI responses, which helped reduce confusion and cut down on support requests.

Pay Per Click
Our paid campaigns helped with launching new releases, pre-sales, seasonal products, and growing the B2C market. We ran Google Ads and Meta campaigns with accurate conversion tracking, focused keyword targeting, and clearer ad messaging. The goal was to stay efficient by keeping costs down while driving the right traffic to the most important product and card pages.
