Rogue Origin is a southern Oregon hemp farm that sells wholesale and retail CBD flowers. They came to us to grow revenue, improve search visibility, and build a stronger direct relationship with customers through email. Problem

Rogue Origin had great products and a clear seed-to-sale model but their website was not supporting their business goals. Organic traffic was underperforming and technical issues were holding back conversions. Some pages were blocked from search engines due to an older wholesale portal setup, broken links, and cart and checkout issues.
They also wanted to balance two priorities: expanding direct to consumer (D2C) sales while growing wholesale orders. Email marketing was already working reasonably well but they wanted better insight, stronger list growth, and higher revenue without hurting deliverability.
Solution
SEO
We started by improving the site’s structure, speed, and user-friendliness so users could navigate it more easily and search engines could understand it. We fixed broken links, redirected error pages, cleaned up internal linking, and resolved cart-related issues that interrupted the checkout process. We revamped the mobile review section, fixed spacing and layout problems, and resized blog images that were taking over the screen on mobile devices.
We updated the product pages by adding a “Frequently Bought Together” feature and made the loyalty and rewards program more visible on both the homepage and product pages. These changes helped customers find what they needed faster and gave them more reasons to come back and buy again.

This included helping search engines better understand the website by adding clear labels or proper schema, making the content on important pages easier to read and understand, and improving how informational pages connect to pages that sell products or services. The goal was to help Rogue Origin appear more often in relevant discovery moments, not just in traditional keyword searches.

Local Search Engine Optimization
Rogue Origin’s local search visibility was improved by verifying and optimizing their Google Business Profile. Accurate business details, high-quality photos, logos, and regular updates were added to highlight the farm, products, and seed-to-sale process. These changes increased trust and helped the brand appear more often in “near me” search results.
We also made it easier for customers to leave reviews in the Google Business Profile to establish long-term trust and local visibility. These local SEO improvements strengthened Rogue Origin’s presence in Southern Oregon and helped both retail and wholesale customers find the business.


Email Marketing

After six months, Rogue Origin saw major growth in revenue. Monthly organic revenue increased by 2,312% and total revenue grew by 867%. This growth was driven by better search rankings, more qualified visitors, and a smoother path from browsing to purchasing.
Traffic and sales activity also increased across the site. Organic sessions grew year over year, and total site traffic rose as visibility and engagement improved. One of the main goals was to reach more than 25 orders per day, and quarter over quarter the brand averaged 27.3 daily orders. Monthly overall traffic increased by 61%, organic traffic doubled, and quarter over quarter clicks and impressions grew by 21% and 32.4%, respectively.

Within 4 years, Rogue Origin went from 192 keywords being ranked to 1,643 ranking keywords. At the start of our campaign, the brand had only 5 keywords ranking in the top 3 positions. Our efforts helped to grow the number of keywords ranking in the top 3 positions to 204, a 3,980% growth.

Compared to last year, online store sales are up by 39% and sales attributed to Google searches grew by 53%.

Sessions from organic search grew year over year by 42.3% while engaged sessions from organic search grew by 40.6%. Overall sessions increased by 65% and overall engaged sessions by 52.4% year over year.

Email marketing delivered record performance over time. Email attributed revenue rose sharply in the first quarter and continued to scale throughout the partnership. After one year, Klaviyo attributed revenue was up 192% compared to the prior year, with the email channel exceeding $1 million in the last quarter.
List growth also played a key role in sustaining long term email performance. Rogue Origin achieved an annual net subscriber growth rate of 19%, which is considered strong by industry standards and supports continued revenue growth over time.

Repeat purchase has stayed well above the industry standard of 21%. In the previous year, repeat purchase reached 33% and in the current year grew to 32.8%, showing consistent customer loyalty year over year.
