Facilities Pal LLC dba Don Peter’s Carniceria is a family-owned, state-certified California butcher shop known for premium meats, house marinades, and a personalized in-store experience. We designed and launched a new Shopify Plus website to support Don Peter’s Carniceria’s growing ecommerce, subscription, and wholesale plans. The goal was to build a fast, simple buying experience that saves customers time, supports a flexible meat subscription model, and connects online sales with in-store operations.

Problem
Don Peter’s Carniceria needed a modern ecommerce platform that could support curated meat subscriptions, online sales, in-store pickup, and wholesale inquiries while maintaining the feel of a trusted neighborhood butcher. The new site also needed to be integrated with the existing POS systems, handle complex product options, and make it easy for customers to understand what to buy and what to do next.
At the same time, the brand wanted to grow subscriptions, increase online revenue, and drive more foot traffic to their physical locations without creating operational bottlenecks.
Solution
Website Design and Development
We built a custom Shopify Plus website that was easy to use, fast, and supported scaling. The design emphasizes Don Peter’s Carniceria’s biggest selling points: premium quality, unique marinades, private-label products, and a no-lines, get-in-and-get-out shopping experience.
Key pages were developed with customer flexibility in mind. Site visitors can choose marinated or non-marinated options, see “Best paired with” seasoning bundles, and view pickup versus shipping options at a glance. The homepage features customized headers, slider navigation, and clear pathways for subscriptions, individual purchases, and wholesale customers.
We designed a custom mega menu to make browsing fast and intuitive even with a growing product catalog. The menu separates subscriptions, individual cuts, marinades, and specialty items so customers can get to where they want in one click. This structure reduces friction, supports impulse discovery of unique products, and reinforces the brand’s promise of saving customers time with a no-lines, no-confusion shopping experience.


We also created a dedicated blog and recipes section and built custom product page sections that show curated, blog-style content using Shopify metaobjects. This allows the client to keep content organized and consistent across its product, categories, and subscription pages. A free shipping progress indicator was added at checkout to encourage higher order values.
Integrations
To support subscriptions, in-store pickup, wholesale operations, and day-to-day fulfillment, we integrated a set of tools into the new website. Each integration was chosen to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and give the Don Peter’s Carniceria team more control over orders, payments, inventory visibility, and customer experience across both online and physical locations.
ShipStation
We integrated ShipStation to streamline order fulfillment and support frozen meat shipments. This integration helps manage shipping workflows for curated subscriptions and one-time orders.
Bold Commerce Easy Bundles
Bold Easy Bundles powers the curated meat delivery and build-a-box subscription features. Customers can choose from a predetermined list of meats and delivery frequencies while the brand maintains control over curation and pricing.
Bold Subscriptions
This integration enables recurring weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly subscriptions. Customers can receive a rotating selection of premium meats, or use subscription credits to purchase discounted products.
Clover POS
Clover was integrated with Shopify Plus to connect in-store and online operations. Orders, products, and sales data sync between systems, and curbside pickup rules allow certain items to be pickup-only. Inventory is currently sold without limits while syncing active products correctly across platforms.
PayPact
We integrated PayPact as a third-party payment provider to expand payment flexibility and support the brand’s checkout experience.
Reviews.io
Reviews.io was added to collect and display customer reviews, helping build trust and credibility for new online shoppers.
Shopify Forms
Shopify Forms was used to create a wholesale inquiry form, allowing restaurants, food retailers, and bulk buyers to easily submit orders directly.
Buy Online, Pickup In-Store (BOPIS)
Shopify Plus BOPIS functionality allows customers to order online and pick up in-store, supporting Don Peter’s Carniceria’s goal of fast, convenient service.
QuickBooks Sales Tax Integration
QuickBooks was integrated with both Shopify Plus and Clover to ensure accurate sales tax calculations and reporting.
Omnisend Email SMS Marketing
We integrated Omnisend to support email and SMS marketing across ecommerce, subscriptions, and wholesale audiences. This integration allows the brand to send targeted campaigns, order updates, and promotional messages based on customer behavior and purchase history. The integration helps promote subscriptions and the brand’s offerings, in-store pickup, and drive repeat purchases without adding manual work to day-to-day operations.
Shopify QuickSync
We integrated Shopify’s QuickSync to improve data accuracy between Shopify Plus and Clover. This integration helps keep products, pricing, and order information aligned across online and in-store systems, reducing manual updates and errors. By syncing key data automatically, the client can manage daily operations more efficiently and focus on serving customers instead of reconciling systems.
Influence.io
We integrated Influence.io to support customer loyalty and repeat purchases. The app was installed, configured, and styled, with rewards, referral logic, and on-site loyalty widgets features. This integration allows Don Peter’s Carniceria to reward customers for engagement and purchases.
Search Engine Optimization
SEO work focused on building a strong foundation for long-term growth. Our team wrote optimized copy across the site including the homepage, product, About, and blog content to better answer buyer questions and reduce friction in the buying process. We resized and optimized product images and updated product and category pages across Shopify and Clover for consistency and performance.
We pursued PR outreach and earned placements on high-authority food and meat websites to improve credibility and trust with search engines. We also optimized the brand’s Google Business Profile with products, services, and updates, and built an Apple Maps business listing for the Whittier location to capture local “near me” searches.


AI SEO
As more customers use AI tools to research food and meat purchases, we optimized content to align with conversational search behavior. Pages were structured for chunk-level retrieval and answer synthesis so AI systems can easily extract and surface accurate information.
We enhanced content already appearing in AI Overviews and improved how Don Peter’s Carniceria is cited and referenced by large language models, increasing visibility beyond traditional search results.
Pay Per Click (PPC)
Our PPC strategy focused on reaching new customers and positioning Don Peter’s Carniceria as the easiest and fastest way to buy curated, high-quality meats. Ads directed users to dedicated landing pages designed for clarity and conversion.
We incorporated real customer videos to build trust and created campaigns tailored to the brand’s subscription, ecommerce, and local goals.
Final Product
Results
The client is very happy with the new Shopify Plus website and the operational improvements made possible through the integrations. Subscriptions, online orders, in-store pickup, and wholesale inquiries are now supported through a single, cohesive system.
SEO efforts are still early, but organic visibility and engagement metrics have begun to improve following launch. The website is already ranking for hundreds of KWs, including a number on page 1. PPC performance showed strong early momentum, with month-over-month impressions up 516.4%, clicks up 95.7%, and conversions up 58.9%.
